Overview
This paper traces the history of the AIAA student branch at San Diego State University, founded in Spring 1963. Through archival research and interviews with past members, we document how the chapter has served as a hub for technical symposia, competitions, and networking in San Diego’s aerospace ecosystem. The work highlights the chapter’s impact on student development and the local aerospace community, and will be presented at AIAA SciTech 2026.
